Changed subnet and can't share

I have two PCs behind a linksys router. One runs Win98 and the other Win
XP Pro. They both belong to a workgroup named "Home". They could share
files with each other and the W98 PC could access the printers connected
to the WXP box.

I had to change the router subnet from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.2.x. I
refreshed both PCs with "winipcfg /refresh_al" and "ipconfig /refresh".
Both can access the internet and can ping each other. But neither can
share any files or printers.

What step have I missed?

Brian,

Are either computer using a personal firewall that setup a trusted
relationship with the other? You may have to remove and replace the
trusted relationship, to get the ip addresses updated.

I have ZoneAlarm on the XP end. I'll try turning it off and see what
happens.

Brian,

ZA is known for not behaving well when "turned off". If you don't see
an improvement after disabling it, you may have to un install it
completely (following ZA un install procedure precisely).

Turning off ZA did the trick. Since the router has a good firewall built
in, I may just leave ZA turned off. Thanks.
