I was having trouble with computer so I upgraded to
windows XP from 98. Didn't solve problem, Had to change
harddrive, motherboard and processor. Fixed the problem,
but was told windows will quite working after the 30 days
it gave me again because I activated it before I made the
changes.
I was told I have to call microsoft to get a new
activation number. I don't know what number to call. All
I found was the pay numbers and I don't think they would
make you pay for something like that. Any help would be
appreciated, Thanks, Chip

There are only two (2) methods to activate Windows XP:

1) via the internet

2) via the telephone

I suggest you select the option to "activate by telephone".
When you select this option, a list of toll-free numbers should
appear.
