change to toolbar from menubar with no "view" option

I have created a database and everything was going fine. I saved it and
closed it and when I opened it up again, it brings up the menu bar with the
options "File", "Window", "Help", and "Adobe PDF". How do I get back to my
toolbar so I can edit the database?

See whether holding down the shift key while you're opening the database
helps: that prevents any startup processing from occurring.
