Change the preview picture (thumbnail) for powerpoint file?

Hi,
The preview picture that shows up in thumbnail view for a powerpoint file is
(I thinK) the first slide of the presentation.
Is there a way to edit this picture so that it is not a picture of the first
slide (but of something else I can choose)?
Does PPT do this, or are there (free?) 3rd-party tools that might accomplish
this?
Thanks,
Ariel

Here's an example of why I need to accomplish this:
I have some .ppt's that will be distributed to some people on a CD. Some of
the ppt's have only 1 or 2 slides, but show a substantial movie file. The
movie file has fade-in and a fade-out. I want to capture an (representative)
image from the movie file and make this the thumbnail for the ppt.
Moreover, I would just like to be able to control the thumbnail for the ppt
and not be limited to thumbnailing the first slide.
Are there any tools that can accomplish this?
If not, are there calls I can make to a dll to swap the .bmp'd thumbnail for
another .bmp?
Ariel
