change the mail merge request

I have a document I use every month. I use a field to establish each months
letters. "Renewal Month" is the field. Each month is numbered 1-12 and I mail
out letters to individuals one month in advance. I change the month, but keep
getting the old list. I have tried everything to change the month and it will
not take.

Assuming that this Access (not Word), you'll need to provide the VBA code
being used before anyone can help.
