Change the length of the dropdown list used to cell entries

I have a length list of possible entries that I linked to a cell using
Data>Validation. However, the default size of the dropdown list only shows 6
entries, and I have to use the scrollbar to get to the rest. How do I change
this length so that more of my list entries appear? Thank you.

Hi Anastasia

The default length of the dropdown is 8 lines, and that is fixed.
The only way to change the length of the list, is to use a Combo box
instead.

Alternatively, you can use a technique to jump to part of the dropdown
list than you want with a method also available as a downloadable file

I'm with Roger and Gord on this one - Debra's site is the place to go for
this kind of thing. I've successfully used her combination of a data
validated list with a combo box to overcome problems where the user needed
larger text in the list and wanted the ability to 'auto-complete' entries.

or

in the list.
