Hi,
I want to change the file type for the extention htm. I thought that I can
change it via Extra-Folder option and than go to file types. But I don't find
where I can change the filetype name there.
Can you help me farther?
Thanks in advance

From Folder Options, File Types tab, click New, type without quotes 'HTM' in File Extension box, press Advanced button and select another 'Associated File Type' ('HTML Document' is the default value for HTM extension). Click OK, Yes and Close.

Note: You can lose the ability of opening HTM files if you change its association.

Hi Daniel,
So you can change with witch program the files will be opened. But I want to
change the file type name. For ex. I use Firefox as browser. He has
html-document as file type name. Now I stil want to use Firefox but I want
change the file type name to 'Internet file'.
Is this posible?

I don't have the button Advanced because I have changed the program from open
with IE to firefox. After I did that the button Advanced changed to Set back
or something (I don't have the english version of windows).

Right-click any HTM file, select Open With, Choose Program, select Firefox from the list, check 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file', click OK and try the steps I explained in previous message. (Click Restore and there should be an Advanced button while Firefox keeps as default program to open HTM/HTML files.)

Check if Firefox is the default browser: Open Firefox, go to Tools, Options, and press Check Now.
