Hi,
I would like to change the default contacts folder where the contacts are
stored.
When I right click on an email address and select Add to Outlook Contacts...
I want this address to be stored in the folder which I choose (different than
the default contacts folder)
Thanks

Open Outlook 2003. Open the address book (ctrl+shift+b). Select Tools |
Options. Second dropdown from the top.

ps - this should correct what you are trying to do, but there is no way to
get a prompt so you can choose on a case by case basis.

I have created a subfolder of the default contacts folder and from the
Address Book I have selected to Keep Personal Addresses to this specific
subfolder as you mentioned... Unfortunately when I try to Add to Outlook a
Contact it still stores the contact to the default contacts folder and not
the subfolder that I have selected...
Do you have any idea what might be wrong?
Thanks anyway for your answer...

Yes of course...
The problem occurs when I want to add the contact directly from the email
(right click on the email address -> Add to Outlook Contacts... ).
When I do that the contact is stored on the default contact folder.
When I go to the Address Book on a contact folder that I have not selected
as the one to keep my persomal addresses on and press the button Add to
contacts the contact is stored on the folder that I have specified...
Strange...

I'm checking with the other MVPs to see if I've lost my mind. I could have
swore this worked in earlier versions.

So, in conclusion, it is not possible to change the default contacts folder
of Outlook 2003?
