Change sort order after created

Access 2000

I have a report that I created using the record number
(auto) as the first sort field. Now as I continue to add
new records I would like to not show the number field (no
problem on that) but I would like to sort by LastName
without recreating the report from scratch.

Any help appreciated.

Open the report in design view.
From the View menu, choose Sorting And Grouping.
Specify the field to sort by in that dialog.

Open the report in Design View. Use the View - Sorting and
Grouping menu item to open the sort/group window and specify
the last name field there. Close and save the report.
