change serial number in Windows 2000 Server

How can I change the serial number of Windows 2000 Server after installation?
I did not have the original disks and serial numbers available when 2 servers
had to be prepared to replace 2 older ones. In the meantime the serial
numbers showed up and I would like to have the correct number installed.
 
Don't worry about it as long as you have proof of purchase and record the correct key codes
in documentation in case you get audited.
