Is there any way I can change the little icons that are next to the clock? Don't know the name of
this but it's Not the Quick Launch.
This ones I want are always hidden even though I use them all the time and ones like Goggle Desktop
I never use is always visible I have to keep exiting it to get rid of it.
Have a good day,

It's called the notification area of the Taskbar. Right click on a
blank area of the task bar and choose properties. In the bottom half of
the window under the Notification area click Customize. For any given
Item click on the Behavior entry which will open a drop down window with
three choices. Take your pick. Be aware though that some entries don't
want to go along with what you set. Most will but occasionally you'll
find one that goes back to it's own default after a restart of logoff/logon.

Hi Rock,
Thanks very much it seems to work for now!
I haven't rebooted yet though.

If u never use the google desktop why don't you uninstall it. But if you only
want to hide it , first try its option to load at startup. If you can't find
the option , Run msconfig and go to "startup" tab and find it.
Look under "Command" for its path , this will help you.

Ok, glad it's working for you.

Hi,
I do use it but only once in a while. I have it on my desktop and really don't need it in the notification area.

You use the msconfig utility? this will only prevent it from loading.
And, there will be a Option in the Goog... for preventing it to show in
notific. area

I uninstalled and reinstalled it but didn't see that option in fact it didn't give me any options at all.
