Hi , we have a NT server und the users must change the
password every month , at the W9x users the system notify
few days before that the password will expire , but the
XPP users do not receive any alert for the expire date ,
how can make that the XPP users receive the same message
that the 9x users ??

Thanks

Hi Joan,

Sorry for the delay.

In the Windows XP, we can configure the client to receive the password
change notification in this way.

1. Run gpedit.msc on the xp client
2. Local Security Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings >
Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options
3. Double click the "Interactive logon: Prompt user to change password
before exoiration"
4. Define the day to what you want
5. Click OK
6. Local Security Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings >
Security Settings > Account Polocoes > Password Policy
7. Double click the "Maximum password age"
8. Change to 30 days
9. Click OK
10. Restart the computer
