I was expanding my Quick launch toolbar. I some how got it to the right side
of the taskbar. Now the system tray displays the time, week day and date.
That makes the taskbar the twice the height of o the Start button. How do I
reverse that and return the quick launch toolbar over by the Start button?

Thank you.

Fay

Looked again at the QL toolbar. The dotted lines are between the toolbar and
the start button, not on the right side. I have already restarted my
computer and that did nothing for either problem.

Hi Fay,

I tried to break my quick launch bar in a similar manner and was unable to
do so... it won't budge an inch! :)

Try turning Quick Launch off (right click Start, select Properties, then the
Taskbar tab) and then turning it on again.

Make sure the task bar isn't locked by right clicking on it and unchecking
"lock the taskbar"

Mouse over the dotted lines to the left of the quick launch bar until left
and right arrows appear then drag it all the way to the start button.

Mouse over the top of the task bar until up and down arrows appear, click
and drag the task bar down to the size you want.

It has not been locked. I checked that since this started.
Mouse over the dotted lines to the left of the quick launch bar until left
and right arrows appear then drag it all the way to the start button.

I had already done that.
Mouse over the top of the task bar until up and down arrows appear, click

That doesn't work. It has to be because the time area is showing the day and
date.

It sounds like your taskbar is at double height - this always shows the day
& date also.
Make sure it's unlocked, hover the mouse at the top of the taskbar until you
get the vertical "I" cursor (with arrow-heads), then left-click & pull it
down to the right height.

Do you mean to say you can't move the taskbar at all? You should be able to
pull it up to almost half screen height.
Try that and see if it moves.
