change mouse function

When I right-click a picture it says "open" in bold writing, which is the
function it performs when I double-click; so how can I change it so that
"preview" is in bold instead?
In other words, how can I change the mouse function so that when I double
click a picture it shows a preview, instead of actually opening up the
programme itself?

Well, it works only for US english systems. Id imagine most users dont have
that, so what can be suggested for us. I am in particular interested in the
old 'sendTo' forlder. I have located one which was hidden, but shortcuts put
there has no effect..
