Change icons for a file

Does anyone know how to change the icon of a file eg. MS
Access database file. The only thing I can find is
changing the icon for a folder. I couldnot find anything
related to a file.

The only way I have managed to change the icon for an Access file is if it is on the desktop. I can't find anyway to change the icon via Windows Explorer.

Document and data files usually do not have individual icons. You can
make a shortcut with a unique icon, or use something like IconForge's
wrapper to add an icon to a document.

You can do it with IconChanger utility. This program can change
personal file icons as well as folder icons, desktop icons etc. You
can assign an icon of your choice to each and every file on your
computer.
