change font in all slides

I often take over a presentation from others.
Sometimes, when I change the font and font size in the slide master, nothing
happens.
Some times there are some changes in some slides in the presentation.
Or only the font color changes but not the font.
The fonts are installed.
Using the master, I can change color scheme for all slides, but not the font.
 
Changing the font on the master will only work if the fonts followed the
original master. If they were changed "manually" they wont change to the new
master. You could maybe try Format > replace font

After changing the master, try going to each slide and re-applying the slide
layout. It might need doing a time or two. Sometimes it takes that to
persuade PPT that you really do ... no ... really ... no kidding ... c'mon,
wouljda just DO it? ... mean to override the formatting applied to the slide
itself.
