Change floppy drive letter?

I can not figure out how to change the floppy drive letter from "a" to
another one. I find nothing in my BIOS to do it. Any ideas?

I found this on the net and when I follow the directions drive "A" does not
show up so I can not change it. I want to change to to something other than
"A" because I am experiencing a problem with it running about every 15
seconds for a second or two. I have tried EVERYTHING on the net to fix
that.

How to change a drive letter
To change an existing drive letter on a drive, on a partition, or on a
volume, follow these steps: 1. Log on as Administrator or as a member of the
Administrators group.
2. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Performance and
Maintenance.
3. Click Administrative Tools, double-click Computer Management, and
then click Disk Management in the left pane.
4. Right-click the drive, the partition, the logical drive, or the
volume that you want to assign a drive letter to, and then click Change
Drive Letter and Paths.
5. Click Change.
6. Click Assign the following drive letter if it is not already
selected, click the drive letter that you want to use, and then click OK.
7. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the drive letter change.

Look for the option, "swap floppy drive" or similar in the BIOS.
Floppies have always been designated to A or B and unless you have that
option, you're kind of stuck with it. If your floppy cable has two
connectors, you could try to swap it and see if anything changes but
even that's not a guarantee (usually they're not the same connector anyway).

Open Explorer and do a search for *.lnk . Look for a shortcut in the
RECENT folder that references your floppy drive. If you've used a
floppy lately when using a program, that program might be polling the
floppy to see if it still exists.

Some Antivirus programs can cause this behavior. Check all settings there.

Run regedit.exe, navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\MountedDevices,
rename \DosDevices\A: to DosDevices\T: (for example) and
reboot the machine.
