Change Default Form for Journal Item

I would like to change the default form used to create new Journal Entries. The current form has "Phone Call" as the default type and doesn't immediately start the counter. I have created a new form that accomplishes what I want but I can't find a way to associate the new form with the default form. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

As long as we are on the Journal topic... I was wondering if there are any add-ins that make this feature more robust or any articles that can point me in the way of enhancing this feature. Thanks!

If you have Outlook 2000 or later, you can make a registry change to
substitute your custom form for the default form. See
