change default application

Once you have said always use this application to open,
as in retrieving pictures from a digital camera with
microsoft scanner and camera wizard, How do you change it.
 
Open up Explorer. Select Tool -> Options -> File Types

Select the file type extension e.g jpeg and then click on Change to relink
the file to open with another app.

If the camera shows up as a storage drive in Windows Explorer, right click
on it there and select Properties. There will be a page tabbed AutoPlay.
You can use that page to change the default autoplay action.
