that'd mean i have to do all the settings, etc. from scratch. not a
happy solution.
Well, since you didn't *say* that's what you wanted to do in your
*first* post, I didn't tell you how to copy a user account. So follow
these instructions how to copy a user account to the *new* account you
make. You must log into the new account once before you can copy
anything to it. The normal built-in Administrator account is just plain
"Administrator". Whether you've renamed it to "HP_Administrator" or
this account is the default *user* account is unclear and I'm not going
to guess. If that is the case and there are really only two accounts on
the system (Administrator and HP_Administrator), make another user
account - called "tech" or something like that - to use when you want
to copy the HP_Administrator account settings to the New Account. You
can always delete the "tech" account afterwards although it never hurts
to have an extra account on the system.
