Are there any freeware programs to change ComputerName and WorkGroup name
for XP machines? I know i can do it manually with MyComputer properties,
but i would like to automate when i go from work network to home (neither
needs to have domain setting changed)

Hi JimmyJam,

Take a look at FreshUI

http://www.freshdevices.com/freshui.html

When you get there click on Download Free, all you need do is register and
they will send the download link to you, when you have downloaded it open
the program - click on Help - Register - Enter your reg code and that's
it.....................just like the popes penis...........not hard.........

Click the OTHER option link in the left hand menu then click on
Owner/Company Information and simply Double click on 1 or both options
Registered Name - Registered Company and that's you done.

Hope that helps.

Create 2 users, Home and Office (or whatever you want to call them).
Log into each one and set it up the way you need.

Milner's doesnt change computername, etc. In his forum, he writes that he
is researching it.

Neither does the adtec. Just saves TCP/IP data. No way to see everything
it actually saves.

Netchange just saves TCP/IP also.

The NetSetMan, though, is a gem. Nice and compact. Thats the winner!
Thanks.
