Change computer name

Using Win XP Home on my computer on a small network with
a Win ME computer. In My Network Places, my computer is
called "C on Richard's Computer (DellXPSD300". I would
like to change this to "C on Dell XPS D300". Is this
possible and how do I accomplish it?

Just right click on it and rename.
This is not a computer name by the way, but nevertheless.
