Hi All

Is there an easy way to change the style/colors of the start button &
proccess line in windows XP.

I can find 3 colors (blue, olivegreen & grey) for the processline and
nowhere to change the color of the start button. Is it possible to add more
themes that can change these things, and where di I find them??

Right no I would like to change the start-button to dark grey with light
grey typing, and the process line to dark grey (or black). How do I manage
that?

(-sorry for the poor english, but it's not my primary language.)

Regards

You need a third party utility like StyleXP:

Do I have to use a third party program?
Isn't there desktop themes "out there" that I just can import to windows XP?

Again, NOT without using a third party utility. The mechanics involved with
Windows XP themes aren't the same as with previous versions of Windows,
where you could find web sites with countless themes that you could import
without having to use third party software to allow Windows to use the
imported themes. The most popular of the third party software to allow
Windows XP to use themes other than those that were included with the
operating system is StyleXP. If you go to:

http://www.themexp.org/

and click on the link for Visual Styles, and look at the screenshots of the
hundreds of choices that you can download for free if you already have
StyleXP installed (which comes with a few Visual Styles of its own), you
will be impressed by some of the really good styles. Also:

http://www.tgtsoft.com/

where you get Style XP, has links to other sites that have free Visual Style
downloads. (both sites also have some very impressive XP style icons, boot
screens, wallpaper etc. for download as well).
