I apologize if I am not in an appropriate group. My network admin set up my
computer with E: as the boot partition. Can this be changed to C: in windows
XP pro? Disk management will not let me make that change. Thanks.

I would ask your Admin why he made it the way it is.
That could be a trick to hide your c drive from whom or what ever !

its a good trick if you know what its for.

Hi Don,

No, it can't. The system partition drive letter designation cannot be
changed without formatting and reinstallation clean. This may have been
intentional on the part of your network admin (you'd have to ask), and if
not you would need to determine which device was given the C: designation
and remove it from the system during the new installation (zip and tape
drives are known to cause this issue).

Apparently the Zip Drive was the culprit, and I have changed that drive
designation. I probably should reinstall on a 30GB empty partition on that
same hard drive. Thanks for your help.
