Change All Files at One GO!?

Dear All

I have 18 files of the same structure and all 18 files have a worksheet
in there that's named as CURRENT which stands for the current data for
this month.

The data in CURRENT for all 18 files is drawn from the same file. Every
month, I would have to copy this file and paste it in the CURRENT
worksheet of all 18 files.

Is there a way I can link this particular file to all 18 files so that
I do not need to open all 18 files to do it every month?

Another thing that I need to do when opening these 18 files, is that I
would need to copy for eg Column B to Column D and paste it to Column A
to Column C and then key in the current month (DEC 03) in Column D as
my column heading.

Like mentioned before, all 18 files have the same structure so the data
in all columns are the same so is there anyway that I can copy and
paste the data, key in the month in the column and the data in the
CURRENT worksheet is always refreshed once I update the source file...
without opening any of the files...?

I would really appreciate some wise advice here because it's really
tedious and boring to open 18 files and do the same thing over and over
again... By the way, the files are set up by my colleague so I really
don't know what she's thinking when she's setting up these reports...

Lastly, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Cheers

Hce,

Try copying the data from the file, and paste-linking it into each of the 18
files (Edit - Paste special - Paste link).
