I have some strange problems in Win XP especially with the IE6.0
browser
and when opeing an application. I guess these problems are related.
The problem is that for ex. IE6.0 freezes for some time like 5 seconds
when
i want to navigating to websites. Application files also remain silent
for sometime
after the click and then suddently opens up..also when trying to open
a normal .txt file.(i.e notepad).

Havent found anybody who can solve this yet...this problem is also in
by bosse's comp...i have chosen to use netscape as a solution.

Can anybody solve this without a reinstall???

thanks

Since you don't give system specs and since we don't know what's been
already done, here are general tips:

General Windows troubleshooting: 1) scan with current antivirus using
updated definitions; 2) remove spyware with tools such as Spybot S&D
(www.security.kolla.de) and/or Ad-aware (www.lavasoftusa.com); 3)
delete temporary and Temporary Internet Files; 4) stop unnecessary
services/programs from running at startup. After making sure the
computer is clean - does the problem persist? If yes, then post back
with details or contact good local computer repair shop.

Viruses, trojans and/or spyware can certainly produce the symptoms you
describe. So can a lot of other things, but clean up the machine first.

Thanks Malke but...
I have done all that u have mentioned before...it doesnt seem to be a
problem due to spywares!
I dont think..but just want to make sure if theres a way of only
reinstalling IE on XP or something like that?

-thanks again
