Does it have to be a cgi script? There are loads of DHTML / JS scrolling scripts that are really small and effective :)

Do you want something that just scrolls text automatically, or in a little scroll box?

Just thought I'd check these, as there are loads out there!
 
i've found some dhtml scripts, (auto scrolling box's), but struggling with the code, haven't done this for a while.

That looks like a good script that you've found there! Does it work ok now?
 
yeah it's fine now thanks ian, now i know why i gave programming up, one character in the wrong place and it's your sunday afternoon gone!
