Alias, I'm starting to think that it's because of "Alias."

It may very well be that you're getting nailed generically rather than
specifically, because there's nothing in your posts that's all that
different from mine or others who object to certain Microsoft practices.

I was censored the other day, but it was an entire subthread filled with
very bad language--none of which was my own, but which I did happen to
quote. Other than that, none of my posts--no matter how critical--are
missing.

You may want to consider changing your name entirely to see what
happens.

No, I was just impatient. All the posts went through. Sorry, news group
moderators.

Do you want to read that over and edit it before I comment? I think I
understand what you meant to say, but I don't think the way you said it
came out quite the way you meant, and I like you too much to turn you
into Richard Nixon.

Why not? To my ear, it increases a poster's credibility if he/she admits an
error. We all make them, and it's nice to know that the person you're
dealing with considers probity more important than face! :-))

By the way, I've noticed that I fairly often recieve the headers for the
replies to a newly established thread *before* I recieve the originating
post header--no idea why that should be.

Given what has gone before, a little paranoia is reasonable. :)

I still feel a bit of a lurch when one of my own posts doesn't get to
the msnews server as quickly as I think it ought to, but I've schooled
myself to patience.

The other day when Jerry called me names, I knew my reply wouldn't post
(because I'd quoted him), so I didn't even worry about it.

But lately, I've not noticed any deletions over contrary opinions, and
IMO, if people can't express themselves without resort to name-calling
and related ugly language, then too bad for them when their posts don't
show up.

Ok bad comment, scratch that last post of mine.

I agree. There's no need for that.

No, it wasn't. There must be a problem at your end, or somewhere
between Spain and Seattle.
