I have a large spreadsheet, 118 sheets at present.
It contains some conditional formatting; a reasonable
number of macros, and somewhere in the region of 8500
cells containing formulas of one description or another.
A large percentage of the cells use nested 'IF' formulas.
The problem I have found is that the cells automatically
recalculate and show the appropriate value following data
entry, however, after a significant amount of data entry
(say into 50 of the sheets) the cells on the main 'home'
sheet' stop automatically re-calculating to show the
appropriate value. Then when values on the 'Home' sheet
are amended, the cells on the other sheets, where the
main data entry takes place, do not reflect the change in
the value on the 'Home' sheet.
I do not believe it is a problem with capacity on my PC
as I am running a 3.2GHz P4 Prescott with 1GB RAM
configured for Dual Channel access on an ABIT MAX3
motherboard using a 120GB IBM high speed hard drive.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this might be
taking place, or how I might solve the problem of the
formulas ceasing to automatically updating?
Regards
