=SUMIF(B21:B24,">=C18",C21:C24
Any reason why the cell value of C18 would not be recognized, if I replace the value of c18 in the expression, it works but putting the value of C18 as a reference in the expression give me zero as an answer.

It works, this is 1st time i need to do that with Excel, is this new with 2003? I haven't seen it in any help menu.
Is this always required? If you don't have time to answer it's ok but I am just curious. Wasted my whole afternoon on that one. Thanks on the quick response.

Hi!

Not a new thing and has been a "feature" of SUMIF and COUNTIF since
Pontius was a pilot. But I don't pretend to understand why we have to
use this approach.
