Hi Trey

worksheet protection works like this
1) tell excel which cells not to protect
select the cells that you want people to get to and choose format /
cells / protection & untick locked
2) protect the sheet
tools / protection / protect sheet

Notes: worksheet protection is sheet by sheet ... so you need to do this
individually on each sheet and also worksheet protection doesn't stop people
deleting the actual sheet - for this you need workbook protection (tools /
protection / protect workbook)

Cheers

.

Best to highlight the whole sheet, right click on your
mouse and go to format cells. Click on Protection tab and
make sure the Locked box is not selected.

Go back to the spreadsheet and select the cells you want
protected. Right click, format cells, protection and this
time LOCK.

To protect the sheet, go to Tools, Protection, Protect
Sheet - pick a password if you like. Once this is done,
you can only enter data in the unlocked cells you selected
until you unprotect the sheet again
