I'm going to guess that the text you see is actually text from the cell to the left, "flowing" into the cell you're looking at. I'm guessing this because if you simply use Edit/Clear or press the Del key, the contents would disappear. Just a guess

How do you permanently delete info from a cell? I have done all this tells you to do and the words are still there and it is creating a problem with a second page.
