are there cd's like for windows 98,? all i got with my computer is emergency
recovery cd for xp, what is the difference between recovery and actual?

Normally Recovery CDs only work on the computer sold.
They are OEM and not transferable to another computer regardless the
condition of the original computer.

Different computer manufacturers make the recovery CDs differently.
Check your documentation or contact the manufacturer for details.
