The setup appears to run without any problems.
Whenever I d-click the icon on the desktop,
nothing happens, if I continue to hit the icon
it indicates a critical note to say it is running.
I cannot find it on my screen anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.

Try the old three finger salute: ctrl-alt-del and look in Processes. If
the program is listed but not open shut it down, uninstall and install
it again. Be sure nothing else is running during the install.

Good Luck, it can be a pain sometimes but it works for me!

Howdy Aah;

Right off the bat, let me recommend that you post this in the CDBURNERXP
forums. It helps the developers to hear about these things, y'know.

Anyway...no solutions but, see if there's something do to with...

1) icon properties. right-click icon, click on properties. Is the icon
pointing to the right executable (in the right place?)

2) previous versions. If you have previous versions I'd suggest
un-installing both and re-installing the new one.

3) when you do double-click the icon and you get the warning that the
proggy *is* running, look in task manager to verify.

Of course, these are just off the top of my head. Their forum can be a
bit sluggish in getting responses but, largely is very helpful. To help
them further, make sure you let them know what kind of Windoze you have,
if it's a default (automatic) install, etc.

You will probably find it in your sysyem tray.
i.e. the icons in the bottom right corner next
to the time.

Try inserting a CD in the CD reader/Burner and it
will open. There may be an option in the install
to turn this off. If not, download startup from
http://www.mlin.net and turn it off with this.

Cheers,

Actually, AFAIK, 3.0.16 is the last version of the current CDBurnerXP
and is no longer being enhanced or having bugs fixed. They are rewriting
it from scratch with .NET.

With that said, I have no problems with it. It sounds like the process
is running in the background (as others have mentioned). Kill the
process or simply reboot your machine and see if that helps.

Oh lovely. Just what the world needs. A .net-based CD/DVD Burner.

Hope you've got a *LOT* of blank disks around to make up for the
coasters this turkey is going to create.
