CD writing

I had trouble writing CDs using the windows software and so I followed
the suggestion of someone in this group and tried 2 freeware cd writng
programs. I do not get an error message but it still does not work.
I'd appreciate any further suggestions. Thanks

First - give us information.

- What is the name brand/model number of your CD/DVD writer - the actual
drive?
- What operating system (version and service pack level) are you running?
- What type of media (speed and type) are you trying to write to?
- Can you describe the exact steps you are going through and what you mean
by "does not work" in detail?
 
Thanks but I've decided to just buy an external storage drive rather
than try to fix this. Thanks again.
