CD-RW help - Win98 cannot read cd's

CD's burned on system with WinXP (using XP burning software) cannot be read by CD-ROM on system running Win98. Is there any other option than having to purchase 3rd party burning software? Thanks!
 
If you burn cd and cdrws , you are asking for it if you do not use a third
party burning software. XP internal burning is not dependable and will not
format a cdrw. Jym
