Does anyone know how to save Movie Maker files to CD-R in
such a way that a DVD player can play it? This would mean
burning a CD with something other than the High Mat
format Movie Maker usually uses. Thanks.

See the CD Burning section of www.papajohn.org

You can save the movie as either a DV-AVI or WMV file and burn a VCD or
SVCD. But you need to use other software.

I dont know but i have the same problem. My late model
DVD player takes cdr and cdrw but tells me its a bad disk.

I also cant record to the CD directly from my HP723A with
cdr/cdrw/dvd (not dvdr)combo drive which i purchased new
12 mths ago as it says it cant recognise the cd
recordable drive. This is probably because i have
RecordNow software which takes over the function.

So i record to hard drive using best fit to file size
option as recommended in help menu and then use RecordNow
to cut to both a cdr and cdrw disk but neither works!!

if you get an answer from anyone that works i would
appreciate any info u can send me to (e-mail address removed)

good luck, rob
