Whenever I insert a CD in my drive, nothing happens. I try to manually play
the CD and I am told to insert the disk. I have been everywhere I can think
of to fix this. I even did an autoplay repair wizard and the best I got from
that was that either the device was malfunctioning or that the wizard could
not repair it. Everything I can see says the device is working properly. I
even uninstalled the device and reinstalled it! Help! I can't even put a
webcam on my system without my drive!

1. With the computer turned off and unplugged, open the case and reseat
the drive cable and the power supply connector. If that doesn't fix the
problem -

2. Replace the drive. A new cd-rom is under $20 usd.

I cannot read any files on any CD. Actually, I did get one CD of my
daughters to play last night. But nothing since. New drive possibly???
