cd rom malfuntioning

i compressed my hardrive with registry mechanic, not that i knew what i was
doing now some of the cd rom games dont work i wonder why, i keep getting a
message saying file cannot run,they worked fine before i have re run windows
and done a disk error check, any ideas, i tried to to do a system restore but
couldnt cause i had run the windows again

Sorry to hear about your misfortunate experience. Since you have removed
unknown entries, please reinstall any non-functioning software and
uninstall the "registry mechanic" to prevent reoccurrence of this problem.

Undo with registry mechanic whatever you did do.
