CD Not Working

Sorry I should have mentioned I have windows XP with SP2 , I burned the cd
on Windows 98 SP1 , and now cannot access it, because it is no longer there
SP2 has a different Word Pad I think, I need to get these Recepies they took
me weeks of typing and I will lose all of the recipes from Grandmother,
mother, friends etc. Can you help me.
 
The version of Windows should make no difference. If the documents were
created using Word, then you'll need Word (not WordPad) to read them. Or
download the free Word Document Viewer from Microsoft.

I downloaded the Word document viewer and I can now see my Recipes , thank
you from the bottom of my heart I really appreciate your help. These recipes
are very precious. thanks again.
