CD-Key in Registry?

Hi All,

I would like to know if it is possible to retrieve the windows xp
cd-key from the registry, I have a complete backup of the registry at
hand and was wondering if it would be possible to retrieve the key from
it since im not sure if windows keeps it there or not.

It is.
It's not "legible" however.

Use Magic Jellybean Keyfinder or Belarc Advisor. Both can read the key.
