Cd Drive won't read a thing!!!

i'm having problems with my cd drive. it can read and loads up dvds but that's it. it wo'nt read games, music, cd-r nothing. I don't know what the problem could be. can anyone help me?

First of all CD drives don't read DVDs Secondly, it might be due to a
hardware fault, the CD Drive. Ask a local technician to check out your CD
Drive.
