CD Drive Problems

I upgraded my system the other day, but I kept my hard
drive CD drive and floppy drive. I had to wipe my hard
drive, and my floppy drive works ok, but my CD drive keeps
telling me there's no CD in the drive. I can hear it spin
up and the mouse has the little CD symbol next to it, but
it still keeps telling me there's no CD. Anyone have any ideas?

This has happened a few times to me, try removing the

ide cable and pluging it in again or move it to ide 2 as
a master, if that dos'nt work move it back again and try
cable select on the jumper settings.

It's already in there as the second master, and I've
tried switching cables around. =\
