Hi,
I want to save my essay paper on my lab top computer on to a cd on the
microsoft word program. I put the cd into to the lab top and tried to save
it. But everytime it comes up "D: is not accessible. Incorrest function."
It also says that I do not have access to the folder "D:" And that I have to
see my administrator for access to the folder. I have folled the microsoft
instructions on how to save it to a disc, but it still doesn't work. I have
trid almost everything. If anyone knows how to access drive D please help.

First, never try to read or write a Word document directly to any removable
medium. Use Explorer to copy the document to or from your fixed drive.
Always work with a document on your fixed drive.

Second, on most computers (all but the fairly recent) you can't write or
copy directly to CD anyway: you have to use CD burning software like Roxio
or Nero. But even if your machine supports it, DON'T DO IT FROM WORD. You
corrupt the document and often the CD as well.
