Hi group!

I don't know if this is the right group for this question but...

I want to make an el-torito cd that I can boot to. Once the cd boots
I want to take about 800MB of data that will have to be compressed or
something so that it will fit on the CD and copy to the local hard
drive. ( the 800 mb is an xp embedded image). I must first however
create 3 X 4 GB partitions that will hold the data (all NTFS)

Has anyone done this sort of thing? I am a little leery of most
compression utilities, as the attributes of all of the files must
remain in tact. I have considered using sdiLoader and sdi2hd but that
would require that my sdi file to be 12 GB.

I have posted about the same question to the embedded newsgroup with
no resut...

TIA

Terry

Terry,
Symantec has a product called ghost in which you can do exactly that.
I can compress and decompress the image for you also.
