Cd Burning

I am trying to transfer songs onto audio Cd, some work but very often the
writing stops halfway through wasting disks, i've tryed transfering the
songs using various CD burners, such as Windows Media Player, Nero, Cheetah
CD burner etc. is there any way to stop this or any way to tell if the burn
is going to work before i start the burning process ?

What hardware are you using? Memory, Processor and speed. Do you have
the latest drivers for your CD burner?
