I am having a conflict with inbuilt roxio and nero burning software. Is it
possible to disable inbuilt roxio?

Right click the CD drive in Windows Explorer, select Properties, Recording
and disable it there.

.
Hello!
If you choose to use a different CD burning program i.e.
nero than the one supplied with Windows XP this edit will
disable the default burner.

[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Modify/Create the Value Name [NoCDBurning] according to the
Value Data listed below.
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: NoCDBurning
Value Data: [0 - Enable Burning / 1 - Disable Burning]
Exit Registry and Reboot

Enable/Disable CD Burning for the Local Machine

[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer
Modify/Create the Value Name [NoCDBurning] according to the
Value Data listed below.
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: NoCDBurning
Value Data: [0 - Enable Burning / 1 - Disable Burning]
Exit Registry and Reboot

Hi:

In order to disable that program you need to go>>control
panel, then, Add & Remove programs and look for inbuilt
roxio, highlight it and remove it. This is the only way
you can disable this program, in case you don't want to
have it in your program files.

Yes - My Computer, r-click the drive, Properties and uncheck 'Enable
Recording' on the Recording page.
