cd burner

had problems with burner not being recognized. troubleshooted. could not
fix. went out and bought a new sony cd burner. still cannot recognize drive
as a burner. checked reg. and value is 2, which it should be. have a
default listed without a value set. could this be the problem? I cant
figure this out and I want to burn cds. help
