cd burner program gives error in xp

I don't like the cd burning options that windows media
player gives so I installed my roxio easy cd creator 5
platinum and it gave me an error saying something
like "the driver doesn't agree with the one installed so
it will be turned off" or something like that. I tried to
open the program anyway but it gives an error... I'd
really like to use easy cd creator and not windows media
player but it doesn't look like it's giving me that
option. any suggestions?

Bad move, you should have chosen Nero instead.

Make sure you have the XP patches installed for Poxio. You should visit
their site to download and then install. It may then work (... or not). Or
download the free WMA Nero plugin from their site.
