(From [Tsuniper-X])
This is a particular program "Norton Antivirus 2005" <-- or something like
that.
It seems like you have purchased Symantec product. I'm 99.9% certain that
it's Norton Antivirus whatever version.
To turn it off, you can choose either way.
1. [Run] Run -> [Type without quotations] "msconfig" -> [Click Menu]
"Startup" -> [Check off] ccApp -> [Click] Ok -> [Click] Restart (you can
restart later)
2. [Open] Norton Antivirus -> [Click] Options -> Norton Antivirus (or)
Norton Internet Sucurity -> (Check off options such as "Start Norton
Antivirus at Startup")
It happens because Windows only allots 'x' amount of time for programs to
shut down , and Norton's ccApp takes longer than Windows would like, hence
the problem.
SO, you get the message "program not responding. End Process now? Ending
this process may result in data loss,...or words to that affect?" But if
you choose to end the process it won't? try closing it in task manager.
The last time I checked, Symantec didn't cover Norton Internet
Security 2005-2006 suites in their ccapp coverage. I hate
Symantec's automated help pages. No way to ask a question
unless one is willing to pay $35.00 to discuss a problem that's
Norton's fault.
